Supporting People Through Change
When change happens it’s not only those directly impacted through redundancy that can need help. The natural human feelings – anxiety, distrust, uncertainty, reduced motivation – can all hit those people left behind – the ‘survivors’. Yet this is a critical time for your organisation’s future success and is dependent on their morale and commitment.
We can talk to you about how best to provide support to these people. We’ll work with you so that you can feel reassured that everyone is being looked after.
- Be a conduit between your staff and managers, identifying areas of concern and issues that happen when colleagues leave and a new work routine is in place
- Create programmes to help teams to refocus on the vision and organisational values
- Run team building and motivation programmes
- Work with you to create solutions for team and individual coaching development needs

A small challenger brand was closing down a service which could potentially impact up to 70 people and asked us to develop a programme to support all their staff right from the start of the process. We went on site for the first weeks of the initial union consultation and provided drop-in advice and support for anyone who wanted it. We also spent time with the individual managers to help them support their teams. At the conclusion of the initial consultation we had consultants on site to meet with staff identified at risk of redundancy as well as anyone else who wanted our support. Once the redundancies had been confirmed we ran individual outplacement programmes for those directly affected.
By the end when the service had stopped and people had left the business, customer satisfaction levels had remained consistently high and not dropped during the full consultation period. The staff who remained felt confident that all had been done for their colleagues and that they too had had the right level of support.
